"I see, I suppose Temari and I have much to learn here. But we cannot take too long, unfortunately, we promised Amu-chan that she could come over for a bit after school, while my brother is at basketball practice."

"See, that's the thing...you're kinda stuck here. For a little bit, at least."

"I'm sorry?" she asked, head tilted, still as polite and sweet sounding as before, the smile is even still in place. But there is something behind her eyes. There for a moment then gone, a hint of the steel under the silk, a hint of someone who was quite well used to getting her way. But it was hidden again quickly. Very quickly.

Temari on the other hand made no effort to hide her distress. she was bobbing up and down in the air, seeming unsure.

"Yeah, you gotta get used to being here and accept it and everything. Then you can go home. It's a little weird when you do go home, but, I think other people make it sound way worse than it is."

It just felt a little odd, was all.

"Time's frozen for you back home, so you're not gonna miss anything."

"I can go home once I accept being here?" she asked, lifting a hand to hide her mouth demure as she gave a small chuckle. Then she blinked. "Time is frozen?" much of the kidding fell away, though she still looked small and fragile, if anything she looked more like a doll now. "Is it an attack?"

Temari drew closer to Nadeshiko when she asked that, seeming concerned.

"No, not an attack...see, it's...this is the real world? Back home is the dream...which doesn't make it any less real if you ask me."

Sorry, Nautilus. Hyrule simply outranked you.

"I'm sorry, it's kinda complicated."

"Oh dear, it certainly seems to be. But if this is the real world... where is everyone else? My brother is as real as I am, I assure you. And Amu and Tadase and Kukai and the others? If i am real my friends have to be real as well. I'm not imaginative enough to have dreamt them all up."

"They're dreamers. So were you, before you answered the call. Now, you're one of the Wakened."

Link tugged at his tunic sleeve.

"I'll send you the guide, it explains it much better." Irene's guide, at that. Link was rather fond of Irene.

"How do I wake them up?" she asked, seeming politely curious.

"You can't. They have to Wake on their own. My friend Zelda did, and so did Shadow."

Link shrugged.

"It's a weird system, but, it works. Most people end up with someone from their home, but, not always."

"Well... all things considered, I know who I would like to Wake first, and who probably will instead. But... If someone from Easter Wakes, we could be in trouble," she said, softly. "I can't Charanari like Amu-chan can. I'm not sure how we can purify the hearts if Ikuto or Utau show up before she does..."

Now she actually seemed concerned.

Link had no idea what she was talking about and chewed his lip.

"That's the other thing, if you have powers back home, you've got to work to get them back here. Everyone does. Also, you have the ability to do pretty much anything you want with your mind."

"I... am not sure I follow?" she asked politely, though part of her mind had pounced on that nugget like a cat after a mouse. Ability to do whatever she wants, but her powers don't work?

"You see, magic in this world is all based on willpower. So, you can 'will' your old powers back, but, it takes some time."

"So... the stronger my will, the more powerful I can be?" she asked in a small voice, as if terribly concerned. "If that is true for everyone, what if someone bad showed up here?"

Seriously, if it was a battle of willpower, Ikuto was going to be a pavement patty next time she saw him....

"Sorta. You also have to learn how to Change and grow, and Ascend."

Link shrugged slightly. "I doubt I'm ever gonna Ascend, so, there some parts of that I'm not so clear on."

"Change and..." have a light delicate flush over her face. "Is this really the time for the puberty talk?" she asked, sounding slightly scandalized. Time to find out if he could blush.

"I used to be seventeen." Link just looked puzzled at her tone. "I don't need no talks, or nothing."

Weird.

This kid was going to be a challenge. Good to know. "Used to be seventeen?" she asked, oh so confused.

"My spirit was sealed in the Sacred Realm for seven years, so I'd be old enough to fight and not die."

"I can't say I understand. People can't fight when they're children?" since when?

"It's complicated. I wasn't old enough to wield the Master Sword."

"Well, if we can have tea, we'd be happy to listen to a complicated story."

"Alright. Follow me, then."

Link figured he could take them to the Southern Welcome House, since it was relatively quiet. He could probably even manage to make tea.

Oh point her at a kitchen, she'll happily make the tea. And by tea she means tea like high tea. With snacks as is proper. Cookies, cakes, small sandwiches.

"Of course," she said with a warm smile.
