"What do we need a portal for?" A young man asked, walking in. He was about Mal's age in a blue suit and a somewhat unimpressive looking air to him. He stepped fully into the room and sat on the bed next to Mal putting an arm around her waist and kissing her temple. "What did I miss?"
"Slight issue," Mal said leaning against him. "We have an unintended visitor. He wants to go home, but getting him there will take some serious magic."
"I don't see why is was so hard," Ally said. "It was not hard to bring him here, given it was an accident. Can't we just do the same thing in reverse."
Mal rubbed at her face. "What brought him here, as I understand it, had one loose variable, hero, and one firm one. Here. Here was understood. Hero could have grabbed anyone who fit the criteria."
Carlos, having pulled himself free. "Yeah, makes sense. We could probably send him generically away as easily as he was brought her, and I want to know how that happened, later. But his home is a specific target. And he is not as understood a property as HERE os for any of us but him. If he had magic, it would be easiest for him to send himself home, but absent that... we might send half of him by accident, or land him somewhere else."
"But he does have magic!" Ally protested.
"Magic that didn't work," Jordan put in.
"I think I need to be a bit more caught up than that," the newcomer said, then looked to Link. "However it happened, welcome to Auradon. I am King Ben."
