“Hey, she didn’t do anything wrong. I was kidnapped here accidentally and she’s been nothing but nice to me.”

Link really couldn’t stand bossy adults.

“Why don’t you wait until you know what’s going on before yelling at kids?!”

"Alright then, young man, explain it to me. In detail if you would." She crossed her arms, waiting.

“I’m trying to go home. If my ocarina can make it rain, it can teleport me home.”

"Stop whatever this storm is, and we can speak this through. In my office."

The storm was thankfully ending after she spoke.

“I’d rather not, ma’am. You’re a complete stranger. I’ll talk to you out here.”

"I am the head master of this school, young man, and you are on school grounds, using illegal magic. You will speak with me in my office. Who are your parents?"

"I don't know. They're dead. Both of them were killed in the Hyrulean Civil War. As a baby, I was adopted by the Great Deku Tree, who was murdered by Ganondorf Dragmire. Since then I was adopted by Clef. My brother is my great-great-great-great-grandson, and my soul is bound for eternity to a Princess and a villain . "

Link fixed his gaze on the woman before him. "As I said before I was kidnapped, and I'm doing whatever it takes to go home to my family and my princess. I'm not going anywhere with you."

That gaze took on the weariness of a man much older than the boy before her.

"I'm Link, by the way."

She frowned, though the lines of her face softened. "I am so sorry my dear. We will of course do all that we reasonably can to help you. But for the sake of the other students here, and for the safety of the kingdom as a whole I simply cannot allow unauthorized magic, especially in a public space. I am Fairy Godmother, head master here at Auradon prep. Please do come with me, I am certain that we can find a way to help you home."

Link shook his head. “Not going anywhere near that bigot of a king again. And I’d never do anything to hurt your kingdom, but, I’d literally walk through hell to get home.”

"Young man! I am very sorry for what you have gone through, but I will not have you speaking that way!"

“You don’t like the truth?”

Link was puzzled.

"Young man! My office! This instance." her face was getting red.

“I’d rather not, thanks. When you first came out here you were yelling at my friend who didn’t do anything wrong. You seem like you might just jump to conclusions and might not be the most trustworthy person.”

"I am the headmaster. I do not have to answer to you. You said your current guardian is someone named Clef, I would speak with him. Now."

Link looked incredulous. “I told you I was kidnapped. How can we talk to him if I can’t get home??”

"On the phone, of course, or scype if he prefers."

“We don’t have phones, because, we’re from a different world and someone summoned me here via magic. So, I’m going home the same way.

"There might yet be other ways. Come into my office and we will look at maps to find your world."

“No thanks. I’ll fix this myself.”

"You will not use unauthorized magic in Auradon, no."

“Someone did to get me here. Gonna have to do the same to go home.”

Link folded his arms.

"And their infraction shall be dealt with, but two wrongs do not make a right, young man."

“See, this is why I don’t trust you, Ma’am. You’re all about punishment.”

The hero shook his head, taking his map of Hyrule out of one of his pockets, and handing it to her.

“Look. This is not part of your world,” thank Farore, he thought privately.

She looked it over intently, studying it carefully. "The Queen emeritus would know for sure. She has been planning trips around the Kingdoms. Follow me." his map in hand she turned and headed back towards the school.

Link wasn’t moving.

He stood ramrod straight, watching, but, making no effort to go.
