“Someone did to get me here. Gonna have to do the same to go home.”

Link folded his arms.

"And their infraction shall be dealt with, but two wrongs do not make a right, young man."

“See, this is why I don’t trust you, Ma’am. You’re all about punishment.”

The hero shook his head, taking his map of Hyrule out of one of his pockets, and handing it to her.

“Look. This is not part of your world,” thank Farore, he thought privately.

She looked it over intently, studying it carefully. "The Queen emeritus would know for sure. She has been planning trips around the Kingdoms. Follow me." his map in hand she turned and headed back towards the school.

Link wasn’t moving.

He stood ramrod straight, watching, but, making no effort to go.

Freddie was staying back, watching, hands over her face to keep from laughing out loud.

Link gave Freddie a small side-smile. He wasn’t upset with her, after all.

FG finally realized he was not following and pivoted on her heel. "A-hem."

“If you’re getting a cold you should drink some tea, ma’am.”

It wasn’t a smart alec remark, but, a polite suggestion.

"I do not find you amusing, young man."

“I’m not trying to be amusing. And I’m still not following you.”

"In my office, NOW, young man!"

“No thank you, ma’am.”

"This is not a joke and it is not funny, young man."

Link’s eyes narrowed. “It’s absolutely not funny,” he agreed. “I am serious about not following you. I don’t trust you.”

"We are not having this discussion out on the Tourney field. I am doing my best to be reasonable, young man. But we will have this discussion."

“Afraid people will hear you?”

Link really, really didn’t trust her now.

"Young man, this is still a school issue. Do not make it a kingdom issue!"

"I already told your king he's a bigot to his face, and that Hyrule probably wouldn't want to open trade relations with a nation that treats people who use magic as criminals."

Oh wow, did Link know she could turn purple? Freddie sure didn't. "You WHAT?!"

“Called him a bigot for oppressing people. And said I’d advise my Princess against trade relations with such a backward country.”

"Young man, you are in more trouble than you can possibly imagine right now."

“No, I’m not. Because, I was kidnapped, and I’m going to find my way home.”

"And you somehow think that the king was behind it?!"

"No, it was an accident. BUT, if people were allowed to do magic without being terrified they'd be BANISHED, I could be home already."

Link leapt to the bleachers to give himself another few inches of height. The Ashura was not having any of it. There were people who needed someone to speak up for them, and Link figured, he was the logical one to do so.

"How is that any way to run a kingdom? Through terror? Do as we say or we'll banish you? Taking people away from their friends and family?!" The Triforce was glowing slightly as he spoke.

"Healing magic? Nah, we'll just let people die. Magic to help crops? Nah, starving people are fine. Science is just fine, we don't need anything else, because, Din knows, we couldn't do even better by combining the two!!'

He leapt back off the bleachers, eyes blazing.

"Now. If you don't mind, I'm gonna find a way home. My princess is gonna need me, my dad and brother need me, and I don't want anything to do with you, thank you very much, ma'am."
