Link pulled out his ocarina to try going to the temples.

"Excuse me?" he asked, angrily.

"Um..." Mal said.

"Oh dear," Ally said, hands to her mouth.

“Look. I’m trying to find a way home, so I don’t do something stupid.”

He played a few notes to warm up.

"And what exactly is it you think you are in danger of doing?" Ben asked a little tightly.

"Should have brought popcorn," Jay said in a stage whisper to Carlos, who hit him in the arm. And then shook out his hand.

“Punching a bigot.” Link continued his warmup.

Ben actually growled and the sound was more animal than human.

"Okay and that's that," Mal said hopping up, she jerked her head towards the door violently.

Jay got out of his chair and grabbed at Link, trying to pull him from the rook, or failing that, to snag his Ocirina. Link, meet this world's single best pickpocket/thief. Who is also an athlete used to fighting dirty. If he can he will lift you by one arm and simply carry you out of the room.

Link ‘s ocarina vanished into a pocket and he picked up a chair to break over the bigger boy if he had to.

“Back. Off.”

He’d been a punching bag for the first ten years of his life. Self-defense was natural.

The bigger boy looked unimpressed, crossing his arms. "We''re leaving the room, up to you if you walk or are carried. You wouldn't be the first person I've stolen, though usually I stick to hearts," he said tossing a wink at Jordan and Ally. Jordan's eyes rolled, Ally flushed.

“You seriously don’t want to try,” Link warned. “And I was trying to leave the room when you came at me.”

“Look, I get accidents happen. I’m not upset I got brought here accidentally. But, I’m kinda getting a little upset you guys won’t let me try to go home. I’m pretty sure that’s considered kidnapping.”

He backed towards the door, still keeping the chair between himself and the larger boy.

"If you want me to leave the room, for crying out loud, ask. Don't try to assault me, I might accidentally hurt you."

He was completely sincere.

"Fine. this is me asking. And going with you." IF for no other reason than to keep the kid from coming across Chad or Audrey. Somehow this guy thought Ben was a bigot... yeah... Jay did not want to have to actually defend either of the idiots. Not when he would want to join in the smack down.

Link set the chair down and exited the room without showing his back to anyone.

"Don't try to touch me," he muttered, putting hand in his pocket to keep on the Ocarina of Time.

Jay lifted his hand with a smirking grin. "Not touching. C'mon, we'll go out to the Tourney field, get some air."

"Is that where the Knights train?"

"Yep," he said with a chuckle.

Mal mouthed something at Jay, then went back to trying to calm down the king. "Last I checked, I'm the one with the temper," she said to Ben as Freddie followed them put and slid the door closed.

"Safer with you two, and maybe something worth nicking."

Jay snorted. "He's got some interesting stuff," he said with a shrug.

Link walked quietly, trying to judge a good place to set a warp exit if he needed to bail. He glanced around trying to see where he could snag a sword and shield as well.

If their King didn't understand the way realms connected to each other and that walking, flying, or sailing were not viable options, he was obviously going to have to find a way home himself.

"I'm gonna ask just one time. Are people suffering because of those stupid laws?"

If so, he would happily stay and fight on behalf of those people. If not, he had no reason be in the world.

Looking for a sword and shield? How about a girl in a track suit with a shield on her back and a sword in her hand?

"Are people suffering because of what law?" she asked, jogging over to pull even with them.

"Lonnie, looking good," Jay said with a wink.

She rolled her eyes a bit and focused on Link. "Where is there injustice?"

Jay sighed. "Link, meet Lonnie, daughter of Mulan and Li Shang."

She saluted casually with her sword, which at closer look was more like a foil than a fighting blade.

Link had no idea who those people were, but, he returned the salute with snappy military precision.

“Hello.”

"Hello. So what exactly am I missing? Are you trying out for Roar? Pretty sure I haven't seen you around before."

"Roar... We have practice today."

"Yep," Lonnie said. "Had chad polishing the swords all morning. So you know, heads up, he's in a bad mood. Well, worse than just the reminder that his Captain is a woman usually puts him in, anyway."

Jay snorted. "Given how he follows her royal pinkness around you think he'd be used to it by now. Actually caught up in something for Mal and Ben at the moment."

She crossed her arms. "What is it with the lot of you. Anyone kidnapped this time?"

"We're not sure yet," Jay said with a shrug.

Lonnie sighed and shook her head. "Get to practice when you can. Bring the new kid."

“I’m actually trying to get home,” Link said apologetically.

"Oh?" Lonnie asked. "Where are you from?" She sheathed her sword.

“Hyrule.”

He didn’t expect anyone to recognize his homeland by this point.

“I was brought here accidentally.”

"Like you got on the wrong plane or something?"

“What’s a plane? I was just summoned here magically. By accident.”

"Summoned accidentally by magic?" Her glance flicked to the girl that was behind Jay.

"Not me!" Freddie said quickly. "I only do big things that get me in trouble when CJ is around. I'm just along for the ride."

"Mal?" Lonnie guessed.
